Newly Planted Landscape
Once your beautiful new plant or lush green sod has been planted, it will need to be watered properly during the next few weeks to get established. Litchfield Landscape will water initially, after the plants have been installed. Please follow the directions below on how to keep your plants and lawn happy and healthy.

During the first year after being installed, the root system is still establishing itself. The soil moisture needs to be checked to make sure that the plants aren't receiving too much water or too little water. Either could be detrimental to the survival of the plant.
The soil moisture can be checked by pulling back the mulch and checking 4” below ground level, around the root ball. During the spring and fall check every 3-5 days and during the summer, check every 2-3 days for small plants and 3-5 days for trees.
